Edwards Endorses Obama

It looks like Edwards' endorsement of Obama for President came in exchange for his support of policies to end poverty.  The effort is to halve poverty in the next 10 years.  Bold.  For those in Oakland that shook their heads in disgust when our Mayor Ron Dellums endorsed Clinton, I wonder if they'll be calls for him to reconsider.  He's not a super delegate, but other cities are holding their electeds accountable.  Oh well, Dellums pulled back from campaigning for Clinton a couple months ago so that may be a sign in and of itself.  Long before her comment this

Senator Kennedy Stumps for Obama in Oakland, Kerry in San Francisco

The roller coaster media circus known as the presidential primaries are coming to the Bay Area, as voters in California and 22 other states prepare to cast their votes in Tuesday's election.  Tomorrow, Senator Ted Kennedy is coming to a large and influential black church in Oakland, Beebe Memorial.  For those who know Oakland politics, it's clear that Kennedy is coming to secure Obama's base in Oakland.  It's a follow up to Obama's energetic visit to Oakland last year.  Then, it wasn't clear who Mayor Ron Dellums would support - he gave a warm welcome to the Senator.  Since, he's
