Re: your response above, would you please refer listeners in the future, to their independent book stores? They need our support, and any store can order the book for her.

I very much appreciate your work on the Morning Show. I'd like you to reconsider your responses to some callers. This a.m. a police officer called to ask for an off-mike discussion re: dealing with violence. You quickly responded adamantly that the entire community needs to be talking with each other. This is certainly true, but I wish you would take a moment to appreciate the caller's intention, then add your own oppinion.

On another morning, in a discussion about the lack of education and rehabilitation in our prisons, a woman who works in "corrections" called in. She started to say that attempts are being made to implement programs, but that they need to see it they're effective first.

I would have really liked to have heard about that woman's first hand experience and what is being done where she works. But you seemed to dismiss her call because it didn't quite fit into the perspective being expressed in the interview.

I know you have been, and continue to be, a wonderful advocate for causes in our community. In your role as a journalist though, I think you would be more effective if you can stand back a bit from your personal viewpoints, make room for a wide variety of opinions, and really listen and respond respectfully to them.

Thanks again for your fine work.

We WON'T Be Your Soldiers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I won't be your soldier,
to kill for your lie.
Your war glory stories
Skip the children who die.
She won't be your soldier,
to be raped in the night.
Who'll be watching her back
In this cesspool of fright?
He won't be your soldier,
Outlawed weapons deployed.
The torture continues.
So your contracts are void.
I won't be your soldier,
When the vets coming back
must fight for their treatments;
starts a suicide track.
We won't be your soldiers,
As atrocities mount.
We number our losses.
But Iraq has lost count!
"I haven’t figured out what they’ll call these kids as a group. I’m Gen X; I know Gen Y."
They are Gen Z.
They are the last generation that will know what we knew. They will be the last to experience both the brillance and the insanity of The OIl Age. After them, no one will have the time or the inclination to keep track of which generation they belong to. There will be more important things to do.
Hi Aimee,
 I really enjoyed the interview on race that you did this morning, 9/5, with the authors, a black man and a white man. Would you please give me the name/authors of the book? I'm not able to listen to your archives.
Thank you, Zoe Holder
Obama basically had 4 choices: 3 senators and to quote Michael Moore, "As for Governor Kaine of Virginia, his big problem is, well, Obama's big problem -- who is he?” H. Clinton brings too much bad blood back into the campaign. I’ve never heard of Senator Bayh (I guess I don't watch C-SPAN enough) so that leaves Biden. He makes a great candidate for vice-leader of the Empire. He voted for the latest war, politically right of Mr. O, experienced, White, male, intelligent, and very smooth. What have we learned about Mr. Obama with this latest action? Nada. Like many Democrat senators, saying one thing and doing/voting another is common practice. What have we learned about Mr. Obama? He wants to win.
